Saturday, March 24th, 2012

Finding out you are pregnant can be an exciting, but stressful time. You will have a million and one questions and concerns, whether this is your first pregnancy or not. A couple of things to think about would be things like, when should you make a visit to your doctor, when and how you should announce the news, and how and when is your body going to change. In this article you can learn some key information that can be helpful for you.

If you are considering getting pregnant, and you are a smoker, make plans to stop now! Mothers who smoke during their pregnancy are significantly more likely to have babies who are of lower birth weight, which can then increase their child’s risk of a whole host of health-related complications.

Pregnancy can intensify the sense of smell, making everyday odors nauseating. If you encounter this problem frequently, dab some lemon or lavender essential oil on a handkerchief and stash it in your pocket or purse. When you encounter strong odors in your day-to-day routine, you can use your scented hanky for a whiff of something pleasant to help you through.

While pregnant, eat bland foods such as crackers during the day. If you eat bland foods, they will help reduce nausea and vomiting. It’s also important to avoid acidic or greasy foods that could give you heartburn or worsen your nausea.

The first and most basic piece of pregnancy advice is to make sure to visit your doctor before you become pregnant. There is a lot you should do to prepare your body before getting pregnant. Making sure your health is in proper order first ensures your baby the best start possible.

TIP! If you are having a hard time getting pregnant, make sure you visit your doctor and have him or her run tests. There are many reasons that you may not being pregnant, some of which can be treated.

Pregnancy is a time of change and growth for your body, so why not take pictures of your belly as it develops? The miraculous time of pregnancy can be forgotten when taking care of a newborn. The pictures will serve as a reminder of that special time.

It is likely that you will experience heartburn while pregnant. Suggestions to prevent heartburn is to avoid carbonated drinks, citrus fruits and their juices because they contain high acid content, chocolate, and fatty, spicy or fried foods.

If you are planning on getting pregnant in the future, start exercising now! Women who exercise regularly both before and during their pregnancy have a lower chance of complications related to pregnancy and are more likely to have a shorter labor. Regular exercise additionally reduces your risk of miscarrying.

TIP! If you are thinking about getting pregnant, make sure you educate yourself on all the facts first. Know what you are getting yourself into and what you should and shouldn’t expect.

Always set aside ample time to develop a solid birth plan. Make sure you give instructions to people that will be at the hospital for the delivery. Pack essentials in an overnight bag so that you’ll be ready when you go into labor. You’ll need your insurance card and any forms your hospital gave you, as well as the birth plan. Be sure to bring a camera if you want to record the delivery.

Create a bedtime routine that allows you to relax. Pregnant women may have trouble falling asleep, and a consistent routine can help. The routine should promote a calm, relaxed attitude. Calm yourself with a warm, soothing shower or by sipping on decaffeinated herbal tea.

Be sure to see your doctor before you actually get pregnant. There can be some tests run to help make sure that you are healthy and do not have any genetic predispositions that could complicate a pregnancy. Your doctor will also tell you about all the necessary steps you should take before actually getting pregnant to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

TIP! Before you are looking to get pregnant, it is a great idea to see a doctor so that you can ensure that your health is in good shape and to identify any issues that may cause you to have trouble getting pregnant. Use your doctor as a voice of reason before and during your pregnancy.

Take care of your teeth when pregnant. Your gums may swell or even bleed as you brush or floss with the increase in pregnancy hormones. It is recommended you use a toothbrush with soft bristles and floss, but in a gentle fashion.

Think about going swimming when you are pregnant. The rewards you will get from swimming will far outweigh any embarrassments from putting on a swimsuit. When you are swimming you normally feel weightless, this lessens the pain in your body. Swimming is also very good exercise.

If you are thinking about getting pregnant, you first need to track your cycles. Once you know when your cycles are you will be able to figure out when the best time to conceive is. You will also be able to know if you have skipped a period and if you should take a home pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant.

TIP! Avoid alcohol when trying to conceive or if you are already pregnant. Alcohol can cause you and your baby to have serious health problems.

Ante-natal classes fill up fast, so if you want to attend, enroll early. Once you know you are pregnant, get signed up. All the information about when and where the classes are held, and what they will teach should be available from your doctor. If the class you take doesn’t take you on a visit to the maternity ward, you may want to do this on your own.

Even before you conceive, you should take prenatal vitamins. There are many of your baby’s vital organs, such as the spinal cord and brain, which begin developing right from the beginning of pregnancy. Ensuring that you get the proper amount of folic acid, calcium and iron is essential, even from the very beginning of your conception journey.

Once you decide you want a baby, it’s easy to get excited and over-ambitious about getting pregnant! But give some thought to your health as you plan. Start eating healthier, adding lots of fiber and veggies to your diet. If you are overweight, try losing a few pounds, as normal-weight mothers have fewer complications.

The advice above will help you relax and enjoy your nine month wait for the joyful event. Ask friends and family for help if you need it, listen to your doctor and enjoy your pregnancy.

My Story About Getting Pregnant Over Forty

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

Why you might ask have I put these pages up and so deliberately promote Pregnancy Miracle?

That’s a fair question, so let me tell you why I looking to getting pregnant over 40.

I guess I was fortunate already having 2 wonderful children, Sam and Jack from my first marriage. However, things didn’t work out and my husband and I parted on good terms. After a couple of years, I started dating again and found Joe and we have been happily married now for 5 years.  I certainly didn’t consider the possibility of not being able to get pregnant when we decided number three should come into this world even though I was 39-1/2 by then.

Trying a lot started out as fun, but it soon became a chore and Joe was getting fed up being told to ‘perform’ when the time was right. Sponteniety had gone out of our lives and even though I wasn’t ovulating quite as regularly, I was sure it would happen at some point. I thought this for 2 years and had also begun to wonder if I was now infertile or whether Joe had a problem. However, as the paranoia set in I was convinced it was all my fault – was this it, was there something wrong me, what was the best way to lie after the event, were there any special foods I should eat, pills to pop, should I exercise more, should I see an expert etc etc. My relationship with my husband and my children was getting tougher as the black moods increased. This is why getting pregnant over 40 became an issue with me.

While searching the Internet one day while in a depressed mood after arguing with my partner for no reason other than I still wasn’t pregnant, I found this book and I thought, what the heck, maybe it will have some suggestions I hadn’t tried so I had nothing to lose.  That book changed my approach to getting pregnant and showed me the way forward without frustration and pills. It gave me new focus and started to lift the depression and help me relax (always a benefit when you are trying to conceive).

Despite the claims of getting pregnant rapidly, to be honest, it did take me four more months but boy, was I happy! The pregnancy went smoothly, and my two sons were soon joined by a smiling 8 pound girl who they adore. Kristie is now one-year-old which made me remember how convinced I was that this program helped her arrive, so I thought I’d share it with the world!

I know the book may not be for all and that skepticism is always there. All I can say is that I believe it worked for me. It may be that the belief was all it took, or the ability to finally be able to relax. Either way, my life is now complete and my marriage back on track.

Good luck and be sure to let me know how you get on! Getting pregnant over 40 is not easy, but it is possible.

Best Times To Get Pregnant – Pregnancy Miracle

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

getting pregnant over 40
Need a pregnancy miracle?

One of the most frequently asked questions about pregnancy is about the best times to get pregnant. It is neither the Christmas time nor the Valentine’s Day. One needs to be good in mathematics if one is serious about getting pregnant as it totally depends on the ovulating days. Now the question arises that how should one calculate this crucial time? For people who are good in mathematics need not worry but others should get hold of an Ovulation Calculator.

It is important to have some knowledge about one’s own body and its functioning in order to find out the probable dates of ovulation. The ‘post ovulation time’ or the ‘Luteal Phase’ is the period between ovulation and the first day of the menstrual cycle. This period consists of fourteen days and is the same for most women. After fourteen days of the ovulation the period starts. Now what one needs to know is the date due for the next period. By counting back twelve to sixteen days from this date, one is likely to get the days of ovulation. Generally, women who have a cycle of twenty eight days, ovulate on the fourteenth day. Since this is so important to know in order to get pregnant, the ovulation date can also be checked through the BBT technique or the Basal Body Temperature. This is a method that involves the recording of vaginal temperature every morning by a BBT thermometer (with a fine calibration). The thermometer displays a higher temperature on the day of ovulation that the other days.

To explain this fact in a simpler way, the egg starts developing from the end of the menstrual cycle and between the 8th to 12th days it is at its maximum. So the chance to get pregnant is the most if one has intercourse on the 8th, the 10th and the 12th day. This is the most effective time to get pregnant. One shocking fact related to getting pregnant is that the egg lives only for a period of 12 to 16 hours in a cycle! Many gynecologists are of the opinion that the life span of the egg ranges from 12 to 24 hours. But the fertility experts say that it is likely to wither away within 15 to 16 hours. So it is important to hit it at the correct time!

Now its time to shift the focus from the Woman to the Man!  If a couple has intercourse on regular basis, it is likely that the strength of the sperms may lack the desired force and the sperm count may also be less than it is required for the fertility level. In addition, the rate of sperm motility may also be hampered. Again, if the sexual union is not so frequent, there are chances that the sperms may become stale and old, making it lack its desired vitality. According to the opinion of the fertility experts, coitus should take place twice weekly for the best result.

It is surprising that tough the female ovum dies within such a short period, the male sperm survives and moves about from 2 to 5 days within the vaginal canal. Keeping this fact in mind, it may be fruitful to have intercourse a couple of days earlier than the date of ovulation, so that the sperm gets plenty of opportunities to hit the egg.

It is important here to point out that following all the above mentioned guidelines may not be enough for getting pregnant. For further assistance, one may turn to holistic remedies that helps find out the actual cause of a problem if there is any and then suggests a remedy that is accurate. These remedies are of a wide range that includes Chinese medications to acupuncture, from exercise to helpful herbs, from lifestyle changes to a healthy and balances diet. Unlike the age-old, conventional therapies which mostly fail, the holistic remedies almost always give the desired results.

With 2 children in tow already after by first marriage, I certainly didn’t consider the possibility of not getting pregnant with my second partner, even though I wasn’t the youngest mother-in-waiting out there!

However, at the tender age of 39 I wasn’t getting pregnant despite a lot fun trying.  Even though I wasn’t ovulating quite as regularly I was sure it would happen. I thought this for 2 years and had also begun to wonder if I was now infertile. Then the paranoia set in – was this it, was there something wrong me, was there something wrong with him, what was the best way to lie after the event, were there any special foods I should eat, pills to pop (hated this idea!), should I exercise more, should I see an expert etc etc.

While searching the Internet one day while in a depressed mood after arguing with my partner for no reason other than I still wasn’t pregnant, I found this Miracle book that showed me the way forward without frustration and pills. It gave me new focus and started to lift the depression and help me relax.

Despite the claims of getting pregnant rapidly, to be honest, it did take me four more months but boy, was I happy! The pregnancy went smoothly, and my two sons were soon joined by a smiling 8 pound girl who they adore. Kristie is now one-year-old which made me remember how convinced I was that this program helped her arrive so I thought I’d share it with the world!

I realise the book may not be for all and that skepticism is always there. All I can say is that I believe it worked for me and if it doesn’t for you or you’re not happy with it, just keep a record of the payment and you CAN get your money back.

Good luck and be sure to let me know how you get on!
